'Pianoforte', literally meaning "soft and loud", is derived from the original Italian name for the piano, 'gravicèmbalo col piano e forte' meaning harpsichord with soft and loud. In reference to this, at 'Pianoforte', we aspire to develop each student's ability to make use of and explore all qualities of sound, tone and colour possible from the pianoforte; this will undoubtedly enable each student to express all aspects of life through the universal language called music.
